Mountain hunting in Mongolia is one of the best adventures in the world, and the ibex hunts are some of the most affordable mountain hunts on earth. You can hunt for Altai and/or Gobi ibex, Maral stags (Asian elk), or three of the Argali sheep: Altai, Gobi, and Hangay. These are some of the most desired species on earth.
Hunters need to be in good physical condition for these hunts, but they are not killer mountain hunts like in other locations. Success rate is virtually 100% every year.
You will stay in comfortable yurts with beds and stoves, be served good food, and be well cared for overall. These trips are a step up as far as food and accommodations go when considering most Asian hunts.
4×4 vehicles and sometimes horses are utilized to get hunters to the top of the mountain, and then hunting is done on foot. Shots generally range from 200–400 yards.

Hunt Style
Physical Level:
Easy: Somewhat easy walking when it comes to physicality. Minimal walking or hiking and terrain is very accessible. Mostly hunting from blinds or tree stands.
Moderate: Physicality is somewhat moderate to advanced. Spot and stalk method of hunting as well as some hunting from blinds. Terrain can vary from prairies to mountains at higher elevations.
Difficult: Requires an advanced degree of physical endurance. Terrain is typically more mountainous and hunting can take place at higher elevation.
Extreme: Most difficult and physically demanding hunts. Requires advanced to extreme endurance and terrain or game pursued may involve dangerous situations.
